Market Leader
As the Market Leader for the Intermountain Market, Joe leads the team’s efforts across four Wells Fargo Advisors branch offices, as well as the Wells Fargo Advisors presence in numerous community bank locations throughout our great state. The Intermountain Market is made up of over 180 team members, including 110 Financial Advisors, whom he believes are among the finest in the state of Utah.
Joe’s purpose is to drive for excellence in our client experience, to increase their talent through both the hiring and training of new Financial Advisors, as well as through the recruiting and transitioning of the best Financial Advisors into their market and to the firm.
His team strives every day to create a culture in which every team member is valued not just for their contribution to the market, but for who they are as individuals.
Joe is a native of Southern California and relocated to Utah, where he earned his undergraduate degree in English at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, following voluntary service in Western Pennsylvania for his church. He began his financial services career as a Financial Advisor with Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1989. In 1994, he began his tenure with Wells Fargo Advisors and its predecessor firms. This long-time professional affiliation with a firm that puts client needs first shapes his career to this day.
He and his wife, Janis, have been married 37 years. They enjoy spending time with their five children and their two grandchildren in and around Utah and the western United States. He loves music – and even after playing for over 40 years, he still enjoys being a novice guitar player.
