Dave Jones believes leadership is about removing obstacles and creating opportunities for others to thrive. His journey into financial services began as an unintentional career move right out of college, in lieu of law school. That decision sparked a 40-year career dedicated to coaching, developing, and positively impacting the lives and careers of team members.
As Managing Director and Heartland Market Leader, Dave oversees financial advisors in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota with a focus on advocacy for his team. He is known for listening, explaining the “why,” and fostering a culture where growth and development are paramount. With 22 years at Wells Fargo Advisors and 17 years at Merrill Lynch, his experience and commitment to excellence sets the tone for the market.
A graduate of Cornell College with a degree in economics and marketing, Dave holds multiple industry registrations and brings deep expertise to his role. Rooted in West Des Moines for four decades, Dave combines professional leadership with strong community ties. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling and boating, and values spending time with his wife of 33 years, Kristi, and their two adult daughters.
